Graphics Card Help Please

I debating on getting a new graphics card because the one i have is not up to snuff for bf2. I can only play at low settings. It tends to stutter a lot when i play. Im thinking about getting a Geforce FX 6600, but i might go for the 6600 GT. Is the GT worth it for the extra bucks over the 6600? Please help

Pentium 4 2.8ghz
Soundmax Integrated Audio
512RAM
Geforce FX 5200

PS: I was wondering how i can find out what type of motherboard i have.

Yes it is. And technically they are not the FX series anymore. They dropped that notation. The 6600GT is the best bang for your buck right now if you ask me. You will need the AGP version of the card, which is around $150 or so.

Those are the top 3 manufactures of the card. Differences are only slight.

I upgraded my FX5200 to a 6600GT and it is well worth it.
Bare in mind though that you will need a high voltage power supply of 500 watts solid for the card to run properly. Another this I would do also ig get more memory...I have 512mb like you and need to get more!!! Good investment is the RAM, Power Supply and Card.

umm you sure about that? 500watts for a 6600gt? noe your outa your mind you need like 400 for good power i have 400 for my 6800gt 2 gigs of ram and a 3200 so im good to go you dont need a 500 watt psu.
