          so that must be the newcaslte core ok? mine ran at 2ghz sorry, to bad that chip blows potatoes. would be so much better to build own and get the venice core.

              I don't really see any problems with nVidia except with the 6800GT. It seems like alot of ATI users have problems no matter what card they have (texture corruption, etc.).

                  Make sure it's a PCI-E video card you buy. I don't know what power supply the e-machines pc comes with (probably 300 watts), but it might not run a 6800 or X800XL. Even if you don't buy the card from Newegg, they'll at least tell you what power supply is recommended.
