    Noob Assistance!!

Hey guys, this is my first post lol...been getting deeper and deeper into this battlefield 2 scene and blah..anyhow, im building this computer since the main computer i use is really slow...so i was like hmm i bought bf2 and well...i cant even play the damn thing without a little lag on the lowest quality setting, so ive spent nearly 1200 so far on good **** for a new comp...anyhow...i just recently bought an ATI Radeon x700 Pro 8x/4x AGP 256mb graphics card and i was wondering if this card is compatible with bf2. I looked at hte readme file and it shows the regular x700 but other than that i dont see it...can anyone help me out on this ? I would appreciate it alot!

Well, it would have been wise to ask here before buying. AGP is old technology, you should have gotten PCI-Express, along with an AMD 64bit processor. but that is just my opinion.

well so far with the specs....

        1gig of ram(ddr PC3200)..
2.8ghz p4(im not all over amd like most people...im not an extreme gamer, im lookin for casual playing..and basicly playing that will get me my game on atleast...if you guys knew how the computer im using is..youd understand lol)
        dvd-rom/cd-rom etc...usual drives
        and that graphics card(Radeon x700 Pro 256mb)

        anything else on the specs?

Athlon64 would still suit your needs better then a P4. The only place it really lacks is multi-tasking system heavy programs, and even at that it isn't much behind the P4. The new dual core AMDs smoke the new dual core Intels in everything so.

so.. ur not a extreme gamer?? i guess if u want to play bf2 smoothly without lag, u should set all the setting all on low... like me... i dont care bf2 graphic... i get 50 -70 fps in my comp... my comp: p4 3.0ghz, 512 ram and ati x300 pci... with ur comp running on low... u should get a fps of 80-90.. with that card if u run bf2 on low...

              The X700 is a mid-range card, so medium/low.

It is a PCI-Express! Not PCI! Do not mixt the two up!
