NVidia 6800 ingame video problems

I have a laptop 2.6 GHZ, 512 RAM with the NVidia GForce 6800 with 256 MB video ram. I would think that BF2 could run on "high" with this video card...well it can not.

Does anyone have a config that would give me zero lag and nice quality? Even at "Medium" global settings I get lag...this is so disappointing...even at 800x600.

Someone please help or at least get me going in the right direction.

Set textures, dynamic light, dynamic shadows and texture filtering to low. The rest on medium, view distance at 90-100% and a res of 1024x786 and see how that goes for ya.

You might get 2xAA in there as well or a higher resolution.

Still lagging...can you say major disappointment? This is a brand new laptop with the Nvidia 6800 256 MB ram. I must be missing something. Thanks for your suggestions, guess I am going to play on "Low" (this stinks).

Is it just a vanilla 6800 or a GT or Ultra? If it's just a regular 6800 your not gonna get high settings.

Its a 6800 Go, series the mobile cards. I have seen people have problems with them. Mostly heat issues. Aslo, you maynot be able to run high because you only have 512mb of system memory. Best for this game is 1GB or higher.

you doesnt have enough Memory in your laptop... 512 of Ram is not enough for bf2... get another 512 stick if you want to play bf2 without lag... because bf2 take up to 80% of your laptop ram.. so if 512 ram, it will lag... i knew it because i had experienced this problem in my comp... so solve the lag problem, u will need 1gig or 1.5gig ram...

I dunno, your processor isn't that great, I would say a 3.0+ to run high with your vid card. It's just a regular 6800 not GT or Ultra...so your expecting too much from it. It's nowhere near as powerful as the other 2.
