Make sure you remove your previous sound card drivers and reinstall the creative drivers. It might be a good idea to reinstall the game as well, after the drivers. Also, try switching between hardware and software in-game(options/sound). I have the ZS card and it works like a dream. You will love it when you get it tweaked right. Turn on the CMSS and you will know exactly where the idiot who pulled his knife out behind you is.

Hi,i am currently on Windows XP SP1 .

But all the Creative drivers are for SP2, may i know is it because of this that caused the problem?

I strongly advise you to upgrade your OS to SP2. Microsoft does not support SP1 anymore. You basically answered your own question. I know you want to play BF2, but be patient and upgrade. It's better for your system in the long run. If it's your parent's computer, tell them SP1 is a hacker's wet dream.

                  Did you reinstall?

Any time you change hardware or update drivers, reinstall.

If all else fails try it in a different pci slot.

Sometimes there can be irq handling conflicts.
