    BF2 and 2GB of ram

Will there be any improvement if I upgrade from 1GB to 2GB of ram?

I found some OCZ that is dual channel that has 2-3-2-5 timings @ 2.6v and was wondering if spending the money on it would improve the speed of the game.

Im currently running AMD Athlon 64 3700+, MSI SLI, eVGA 6800GT PCI-X, with OCZ Gold Series 2-2-2-5 1GB Dual Channel. The game loads fine and runs good but every now and then on a server that has 64 players I get lag hits here and there. Its not internet lag because Im pinging at 18-30. This is system lag so I figured an added gig might clear things up. Im running everything on Medium also at 1024x768 settings.

    Thoughts?

when i put an extra gig in, i saw a little improvment, to me it was worth it.

If you're overclocking upgrading RAM becomes a problem. We are happy with our overclocks at speeds our 1gb 512mb*2 modules can acheive, if we put another 2 sticks in we loose any chance of keeping our overclock stable. If we use 2*1gb modules, we simply cannot reach the same speeds with our RAM.

If you're not overclocking just whack in some budget 1gb sticks, seeing as the quality doesnt really matter too much because RAM is just RAM unless you're overclocking. Thats where RAM differences in performance are most felt.
