I bought the 6600GT and took it right back.
I bought the ATI Radeon X700Pro, and it rocks, it has twice the Ram of the 6600GT: 256 vs. 128 mb, it has 2x the rendering pipelines 8 vs. 4 and it is ATI, I hate NVidia, they need to dry up an dblow away like 3Dfx did. ATI is high quality Nvidia is poo.
BTW, if you are buying one of these new high powered Video Cards, don't forget to upgrade your power supply to at least a 430W!

Yea, I'd take the 6800GT over the x800 9 times out of 10, the only 1 time would be out of curiosity.
