Setting up Saitek X45 Flight Control PC Joystick & Throttle

I enjoy the ground game of BF2 but want to give flying a shot. I went out and picked up a Saitek X45 Flight Control PC Joystick & Throttle .

Could someone please give some advice on the best way to configure it for the game?

If there is already a post, I could not find it.

What do you want beyond the obvious? Pitch, roll, throttle, and rudder are obvious where they go.

You've got 2 easy triggers on the joystick, which I set to primary and secondary weapons.
Use a hat for PoV changes.
Use one of the top buttons on the joystick for firing mode toggle(bombs vs. missiles)
Use the big orange button on the throttle for flares.
I use the 'mouse' button on the throttle to change minimap zooms.
Use a hat for voice toggles.

Put eject on the covered switch :-) and parachute on the other top button.

I'm thinking about trying to use the pseudo-mouse on the throttle to call out specific sitings, but probably won't bother. If I can see it, I usually don't need to tell anybody besides my gunner(voice).
