This thread may be a little late since I already ordered my new computer. I got the 7800 GTX (EVGA brand) in it. Has anyone heard of issues with this card running BF2? I just want to know so there are no surprises when I go to fire it up the first time and figured this would be the best knowledge base to ask.

yes, there are astronomical problems with that card running BF2. Although benchmarks show that the EVGA performs better than the regular 7800GTX it is not going to run BF2 smoothly. If you send the card over this way I can fix it quick-style and you will be running BF2 in all its glory in no time! YOUUU CAN DOOO ITTTTT~!~!

LoL Remy when I get the new PC I will rip out the card and send it over so you can test it out. I know the benchmarks look good, but I guess I was just wondering if anyone here has heard of problems or had any themselves. I don't think it is to late to switch cards. I just ordered it last night.

There will be HUGE problem with your evga 7800gtx, it will run the game at max setting with 4xaa 8xaf at 1280x1024 or even 1600x1200 with NO LAG at all and this will put you into shock, killing you as a result.
So dont get it unless you want to die.
jk
hope I had money.

Yeah, really. You shouldn't encounter any problems at all. My friend has a 7800GTX and it just slices through BF2 like a hot knife through butter.

Cri-cky fx5200 128 meg now that is pants!Originally posted by CheetoDustman...try playin it on a GeForce FX5200...lucky bastards..
i had a ti4600 that was great then a diah fx5200 gave it away. then bought myself a asus v9999gt/td 6800gt 256 what can i say asus rules. and to get maximum performance out of your card upgrade your ram i went from 768 pc2700@333hz to 1.5gig pc3200@ddr400hz and increased performance massively. eg went from max fps on mohaa 500fps to 800fps just with the faster ram. good card fast ram = great performance.
