it will boot up faster and you could put bf2 on it but for 100 bucks its not that much of an improvement. i was contimplating on geting one but decided not to im kinda stuck on upgrading as of now...

eh its better than stock sound, takesa load off my cpu and im not dishing out hundreds of dollars for god damned sound that comes out of my headphones for chrsit sakes i dont even have 5.1 i havea 2.1 setup so nuthing special, but since im almost done upgrading my actual computer im going to start buying other stuff, new monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse that kinda crap.

Its a wicked upgrade, BF2 loads incredibly fast and i get in the action alot quicker than most pplmeaning first pick of vehicles.
But use a second HD to run windows as itl doesnt give u that much of an advantage, when windows is running on it too.

10k vs 7.2k, isn't really much of a jump, I have 2 in RAID 0, and it ins't that much faster at all. Only for huge files it maybe faster, other then that, no performance jump.

SATAII vs raptor

no its not worth it... if you want the maps to load faster, defragment you drive or something... i mean, sure, a raptor will be faster, but not $100 faster...
