                        Re: Mouse Problems

Okay, here is my two-cents worth :)

Firstly, let me start off by asking you one simple question. Sometime before the problem with the mouse occured did you by any chance have a critical error, game crash, or computer crash?

I'm 99.9% sure that you will say yes, however if you didn't that's fine too.

Did you recently modify any of your controls in the game, or change any of the settings?

I'm not entirely sure as to how the game works with the configuration files, but I assume that it does one of the following.

                        - Loads the configuration files into a memory stream, accepts changes (modifying the memory stream), and then upon closing the game it writes the buffer to the file.

                        - Loads the configuration files into a memory stream, accepts changes (modifying the memory stream), and then saves the changes to the file.

I'm voting for number one, even though it is a little less logical than the other.

If this is the case, then possibly the file would have been corupt after the critical error, since the game didn't have a chance to clear the memory stream buffer.

If not, that's okay. I haven't had much time to think this trough so I'm not sure.

                        Solution to the Problem:
As stated above, the problem more than likely stems from a corupt controls configuration file.

You may fix this via deleting (or renaming) the profile folder, or even the Battlefield 2 folder located under My Documents; You may also (if present) copy the controls configuration file from another profile.
