    what resolution would give better performance?

    NOt running SLI, would widescreen 1440x900 or fullscreen 1280x1024 be better?

    I was wondering if I should sell my widescreen and get a normal 17' or 19' monitor for better performance

      8800GTS 320mb
      e6750 core 2 duo
      2 gigs of ram

      Sometimes I see bf2142 drop occasionally, also it doesnt truely support widescreen, I'm indecisive if I should return to normal monitors or continue to use my widescreen

        1440x900 = 1296000 pixels.
        1280x1024 = 1310720 pixels.

        1440x900 is slightly smaller but in practise there is no difference. Games offer 1280 option better though. With 8800GTS the question is irrelevant. You could have 1600x1200 ("regular rationed screen) or 1680x1050 (widescreen) without problems. You could make the step upwards in fact. Not scale down.
