So yeah life sucks with this piece of crap. Anyone know a great graphics card that can easily fit into this system, and is under $150? I REALLY need the help.

I concur. A 7600, 7900, or X1950 would go a long way in improving your game performance. Upgrading to two gigs of RAM would be good too. Also wiping your computer and re-installing XP would clean your PC up a bit.

I can't remember if x300 comes with both flavors: AGP or PCI-e. First check that.

Then head to ebay (or similar net auction place) and get a very good rip off bargain for ATI X1950. Also you can get 7900GS or GT very cheap from there.

Yup. The X300 comes in both AGP and PCI Express variants. So if it is AGP then a X1950 Pro AGP would do nicely. If not then a X1950 XT would be good.

eh those cards are quite good, but if you want some DX10 gaming id go for a 8600 GT/GS in that pricerange, not quite as good overall as some of the 7 series listed but it does support DX10, and all these cards will most likely fit in your case

DX10 gaming isn't worth it with a machine like that. If you want to play games like Crysis then your best bet is to get a whole new machine. Not to mention his CPU would bottleneck a 8 series GPU horribly. Stick with DX9 cards.

Isn't the only point of the 8600 DX10? Cause I heard it performs similar to the 7600/900, and more expensive too.
Also maybe one more gig or ram?

With that system, Another gig of ram and a 7xxx series video card and you should be good.

If you are looking for a short-term fix i recommend the X1950, however i think its worth saving your money at the moment for a new system.

Tasty has the right idea. If you don't feel like laying down money for a new system the X1950 would do you good for playing games at the moment (don't expect to play Crysis or anything similar though).
