Norton Internet Security 2007 & 2142 ?

ok I give up anyone running 2142 with Norton Internet Security 2007 ?

Nope, it is a huge resource hog and is worthless in my opinion.

It is inadvisable to run any sort of A/V software with battlefield (or any game, for that matter). If you're concerned about getting viruses, switch to a mac, or be more careful with what you're downloading.

i run nortons 360 which drains more resources and i still get ping of 9 on Australian servers and a ping of 190-220 on American and no lag.

i have no trouble running both at once so i think u will have to disable it or atleast some of the applications.

AVG Free FTW! Not amongst the best (I mean it's free) but it's very lightweight and I can run orther games without problems while running it. I had Norton a while ago and it's completely useless. Pretty good at taking away viruses and spyware but it's using tons of system resources.

Ok all the ISes you guys are saying SUCK. AVG has a very weak firewall, Mcafee is more of a resource hog than Norton is, and Webroot...I'm not even gonna start

I have Norton 360. It uses WAY less resources than 2007 and doesn't get in the way. Just let BF2142 connect to the internet and that's it. I've had no problems at all.

well i dont run it 24/7 i only run it when i do my weekly scan and check downloaded shizz

i run AVG free 24/7 it uses like 30 mb of memory so i barely notice it

I used to have norton, but after someone recommended it, i moved to Kaspersky, it's much better.

( and i won a computer tech award at my school, which thee Mr. Norton gave to me himself:laugh:)

With any antivirus/internet sercuity package.. just make sure downloads/scans are set to manual and your away :)

Personally, I would ditch Norton.

It is a resource hog like some others say, I would recommend gettings a free Anti-Virus.

Try Avast!, NOD32.

Something other than Norton.

Running Norton with 2142 is like downloading porn and trying to play 2142. ( Not a very good example, But it gives you an idea )

i used to used it but it kinda failed.... but yea i ran fine, but id suggest a change to Trend Micro and/or Webroot, i use both so i can get the best of both worlds, virus and spyware.
