Suggestions on new comp

looks pretty good; however, I would probably stick with the Intel P35 motherboards (or wait for X38). I might also go for a little better processor (if you have the cash). The E6750 is only $25 more (on newegg) and offers a lot better performance. And maybe a case with better airflow (like the Antec 900) your choice though. Also your gonna need a PSU and might want a aftermarket cooler like the Zalamn 9700.

Other than that, should be a pretty good.

or he couldve just come to cheweh... but id suggest getting a different case and getting a PSU, the ones that come with cases are usualy poor quality, get atleast a 600W one...

id suggest a bigger hard drive, and motherboard, you dont need a motherboard with onboard video but you may have to pay a little more...

another thing, what resolution will you be running at? if its anything like a 1680x1050 or larger id suggest getting the 640MB card, AND EVGA FTW, best customer support evar! helped me with issues that i found out after talking to them werent graphicly related to their card

I would keep ditch the PSU, you will want at least a 600w for that. Also seeing as your under-budget go for the CPU cooler and E6750. It will be better in the long run.

I was wondering why on earth you are buying micro ATX motherboard? Don't do it or you'll regret it later. And you would be better off having a full tower case. The mid tower will do but you might regret it later on if you plan this case to last for years to come.

Good catch, looqas hadn't noticed it was a micro. I would recommend going for something like the Gigabyte P35 mobo and a full case wouldn't be bad either.

Edit: After doing some searching I found this on Tom's Hardware. I don't normally like Tom's (they've done some bad reviews and the quality has degraded in the last month) but the system they have going is pretty nice (and right up your price alley). Sure to play most games on high settings. Personally I would go for a better PSU though and different memory. Good stuff though.

So I'm hearing that I need a new mobo and a diff case. Any other changes besides a more expensive graphics card etc.

Other than that you are looking pretty set. You GPU is fine (depending at what resolution you are playing at) more than enough to play the latest games on high. If you have the extra money then a GTS 640 mb would be good put don't blow your budget.

Go for a Antec 900 and a Gigabyte P35 or EVGA 650i motherboard and your set.

Edit: Oh, and have you found a PSU yet?
