i can plug my psu into a wall when nothing is plugged in to it? justr the power supply to the wall. i want to know wut i looks like when its on and i dont have all my pc parts yet. if this is a yes can i plug my case fans into to see wut i looks like to and make sure they work?

personally i would just wait till i had all the parts but i don't see why not, you don;t use all the connectors when you have a full machine, but don't take this as the truth, i quite possibly could be wrong. -
If it is an atx power supply, simply plugging it in won't do you any good, as you have to turn it on, and the switch will be on the motherboard.
If you are really desperate to try out the looks, try google for what wires to short to make the power supply believe that it is connected to an "on" soft switch... But unless you are DEAD CERTAIN you know what you're doing.... don't bother. you could end up shorting out your power supply. Or worse yet - yourself.Comment
