I recently bought an 8800GTX, not knowing that my 3.4Ghz P4 CPU and 1.5GB of 333Mhz RAM wouldn't run it very well. So, I decided to upgrade some more and this is what I've came up with so far, though if anyone has any suggestions for another product then I'll take a look into it.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3GHz Socket 775 4MB Cache 1333MHz FSB Retail Boxed Processor
Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Soundcard - Retail Boxed
EVGA 680i SLI LITE Version Socket 775 Core 2 Duo ready ATX
Corsair 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Memory Non-ECC Unbuffered CL4(4-4-4-12) E.P.P.DHX Technology Lifetime Warranty
Would I need a CPU cooler for the CPU I have chosen or will my current stock cooler do? I have an Antec Nine Hundred Case.
Thanks in advance;
P.S. I chose the Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Soundcard instead of the Champion Fatal1ty card because I was told it's not worth getting a Fatal1ty card - it's just a professional gamers name on a product for more money, is that true?
