perhaps if those who pounced that did some research would see that OP meant PCI-e and that the x1550 is only released as AGP8x/PCI-e.

There is a PCI version of x1550 along with agp and pci-e.

Yes. If my Geforce 6200 PCI can do it, then an x1550 can do it too. I have your exact same (crappy) computer.
