No card can run DX10 properly yet!

Hi ive forgot where i got this information from but its reliable, just google it. Anyway, a 8800GTX will put about ten frames on a DX10 game. It seems DX10 is not perfected yet and/or there isnt the right cards out yet that can handle it. Seems that for all the people who bought a 8800, including myself, spent a waste of money if they were thinking it would fly past any DX10 game.

Well I for one didn't buy my 8800GTX to play DX10. I bought it to play every other game out there at max settings without lag. Especially BF 2142--I used to drop to 10-20 FPS during an arty strike, with 2 7900GT's in SLI! Not any more :)

well I think you wrong, because if you saw the E3 demonstrations of Crysis, you would see that it was getting more than 10 FPS lol...

          Word...

Besides, I still get ~30fps in WiC (which is dx10) under vista with 4xaa,16xaf, @1920x1200 using beta drivers!

Besides, I'll just go get a 9800gtx when they come out in a few months, and then I won't have any performance issues at all.

The crysis devs have already said to that in order to max out crysis, you need:

                2gb of ram
                e6600 or better
                8800gts (either one)

                Thats it.

                  what about my 4200+X2?

and when you say either one, you mean 320 mb too?

It'll be a little slower, but you shouldn't have to drop the settings too much.

And yes, both the 320 and the 640mb versions (though the 320mb will slow down at anything above 1680x1050.
