Random restarts only when I play this game and sometimes CTD

First my specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E4400
XFX GeForce 8600GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB)
ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus (No sound card so thats the motherboard I'm using with the integrated sound)

Video Driver details:
main driver: nv4_disp.dll
version: 6.14.0011.5822

Sound Driver details:
main driver: ADIHdAud.sys

I have turned off VOIP and the other options under sound. I have slid the sound bard in dxdiag to basic.

I STILL have crashes. Often times it happens just as I press another key and the whole computer would just reset or go into a quick blue screen (less than 1sec) and than reset (I already turned off restart on crash but it keeps doing it) . This problem ONLY happens on this game and never on any other game or when I'm just using the computer. At first the crashes would just take me straight to desktop without saying any error messages. I'm able to finish round/join new map if I don't encounter this crash during gameplay. So it's kinda different from the CTD after each round.

So any ideas?

just the regular uninstall - registry cleaning - reinstall routine.

Not much you can really do. Also you might want to first delete cache in My Documents/battlefield 2142 folder as a first aid.
