Video capture

I am interested in making some videos of Battlefield 2142. I tried downloading a program called 'CamStudio' but it runs really slow on a very simple game (brick.exe). I looked around the forum and saw a lot of people were using FRAPS, however it crashes every time I try to use it on my computer and I would rather not have a watermark. Can anyone recommend a free video capture utility. Admittedly my system is pretty bad - GeForce FX 5200 128MB - so it needs to use little resources. Thanks.

goon servers that save battlerecorder files and then download the sir.community's battledirector to edit it.

Is there a way to tell whether or not a server has battle recorder before I go on it? Thanks.

Tick the battle recorder box when in the server list.
