big problem LOL

this is gonna be hard to explain lol, for some reason my icons disappear on my tool bar and I get wierd distortion of the start button on my desktop, it happens after the PC has been on for a while and I dont know why :/ it started yesterday and to be honest it's pissing me off o.0 here's a screenshot of my desktop...

Try this:

Click Start/ Settings / Taskbar and Start Menu
Click the "Customize" button at the bottom

In the list that appears , check to see if the icons you
are looking for are selected as "Hide when Inactive"
or "Always Hide"

as for the start button, im nt sure, looks fine to me...

thanks but that's not it lol, some of the icons in the start menu turn into a black box as well :/ it' wierd...

StyleXP messed something up try disabling it

it could be your video card, try resinstalling the drivers if that doesnt work then try a system restore to a point where your system was fine.

oh wait i had it to once its because my graphics card yes it may sound weird but it was a bit to hot wich caused in graphic failures like yours lol

It can most likely be solved by rebuilding the icon cache.
