Would lowering my textures settings increase framerate? Or would it just reduce loading times for me? I think I have plenty of video ram (512mb I think)

whats the rest of your specs? and yes lowering textures will help with lag, framerate, stuttering,etc... -
if u hav alot of ram, (excluding video ram) ur loading times will be faster.Comment

holy smokes! u hav 3 gb of ram! but u have a 7300le? ur gfx card is the limiting factor here. LE stands for low end, and the 7300 is already low end... actually, if u jus upgrade ur gfx card, im pretty sure u can play on high settings and still load maps v fast too..Comment

depending on ur budget, the 8600gts or 8800 should do fine for u.Comment

considering you don't have vista, it would be best to avoid the 8600 (its only worth wile feature is dx10) and either get a 8800 or a 7600/950Comment
