    Leaving

Just wanted to stop by and tell my friends here at TotalBF2142 that I've decided to put the game away for a few months. I'm showing signs of gaming addiction and want to deal with it head-on vs. waiting for it to be an issue. I've left my clan and deleted all BF series games as a start.

I'll have to see what I do from here on, but I should have lots of time to do it!

Good luck to you all and I hope to see you on another battlefield in the future. :salute:

well it's good to hear your taking care of it, do what I do just chill on the forums instead of play lol :p well I hope you get it taken care of because there are more important things in life besides video games, for me, it's to find the girl and go to college, for you it may be different but look forward to something happy and it will help you forget about video games :)

    all the best :)

Good job. Video games can be extremely addicting, more than other things sometimes.

Here is my advice for addiction, since i've been to the bottom of the pit before: Play until you CAN'T stand it.

Like world of warcraft. I used to play it so much that I dropped out of college. Now I can't play it for more than 2 minutes without getting extremely bored and quitting. Account has been cancelled for some time.

Battlefield is still somewhat addicting to me yes, but I get very bored after 3 hours or more and have to do something else.

I found that music is really good for me at beating addictions, no matter what the addiction is. I was involved in some more illicit activities than video games. Then i thougt i've always wanted to learn to play the guitar. For me that solved the problem. I guess just picking up a new hobby works for me. Wish you luck in the future.

Meh, during the summer, I do nothing but video games :yay: and some swimming  and listen to music

THEN when August 13th comes next month... school starts again , and I will be playing for maybe 2 hours each weekday, opposed to my 9 or 10 during the summer and like 12 hours on saturday and sunday combined. Oh well I only got this year and next year, then college...

Sorry to see you go. I have enjoyed you being around even though we did not see eye to eye all the time.

                :salute:

I hope to be able to frag you again in the future. You know where to find all your real buddies.

Good to see you handle your business, OP.

I have entirely too many interests to become addicted to any one... Like others have said, try picking up a new hobby, something that stretches your mind. And to all of you who are spending lots of hours in front of the PC this summer instead of other things, just waiting for school to start... Well, you're missing out. Doesn't anybody teach/learn moderation any more?

I've been addicted to games and computers before

Eventually I played/used them too much and got bored and now I'm just "meh" :)

Don't think you can't come around here if you don't play any more. I don't even have 2142 installed anymore (had to make hard disk room )

But then, it might tempt you to play, so it's understandable if you don't.
