please do urself a favour , DONT GO FOR 64BIT!! bf2 has problems with 64bit platforms and theres very little "real " support for it.
theres alot of software that claims to support 64bit vista . but usually its bs . dont buy it , ull be sorry.

And what are these problems that BF2 has with Vista 64? Been running both for over 6 months and haven't had any problems.

x64 drivers, another myth that won't die. If the hardware is older (2-5) years), then yes you may problems with drivers, but that isn't vista's problem it is the problem of the hardware manufacturer. Also Microsoft has stated that in order to get 32 bit drivers certified there also has to be the 64 bit at the same time.

Well i just bought Vista HP 64Bit for £64 OEM and the only game that does not work properly is the Crysis BETA
Operative word here being beta. Never had the beta, but the demo worked fine here. Haven't had any problems with any other program either.

Look at it this way, x64 is the way forward and if you ever want to see proper support for it the only way for that to happen is for people to use it. Eventually the software vendors will wake up to the reality and start programming in 64 bit.

It's disappointing that we all have 64 bit processors and don't even use them but it's just how it goes. I have xp pro 32 on my my 200 vista 32 on a 250 and vista 64 on another 250 so i can use whatever whenever : ) Triple boot ftw!
completely agree, maybe in a few years god 64bit but right now its not practical, also HOME PREMIUM FTW :yay:

Actually, I use Vista 64-Bit edition (Ultimate) right now and I haven't had any problems to speak of. If I have a problem, I just fire up compatibility mode and there it goes. So, I can't really complain about 64-bit Vista, although maybe it's a Vista Ultimate thing.
