New laptop 7 years from old one, suggestions and comments.

    Hey all,

Fellas its been 7 years and my laptop from Hypersonic (company now shutdown) is showing its age, i got it when i first went to university in 2007, i loved every bit of it was a nice 15 incher and held its own even with Bad Company 2!

Anyways its dying now with screen changing colors, performance shot to hell anywyas i am in the market for a new healthy robust lappy, I have been eyeing Sager Notebooks as i did back in 2007, theres this one i configured came at 1600USD which is great considering that it is 622 in Bahraini Dinars specially considering my budget to be 600 Dinars and that is with shipping!

So what i am looking for:

13~14 inch lappy, portability and performance are key, will be used for work and for on the side gaming when i am not at my desktop, below is a photo of the config, please tell me what you think and if you know of better deals and ship to Worldwide/Bahrain as well. BUT mainly your thoughts for the build i made please.

P.S. I dont look to play the latest games on this little monster...i got my desktop for that. I want this for work related i.e word excel, email and travel or not in the house gaming with games like red alert, company of heroes, old battlefields with the option of BF:Hardline really i dont know, but what i do know is i wont be playing the likes of Assassins Creed, watchdogs, Wolfenstein (new one) as i leave those for either console (3rd per shooters) or PC (FPS and strategy etc).

Hey guys, I may cancel ordering actually, currently at work i am still in probation period (3 months) and i still dont havea computer assignmed to me so i sue whatever is free and its annoying i decided that even if i order from Sager i would have to wait a long while. I will head to the main mall today and check out Virgins and DG Sharaf (huger electronics store) i seem to recall some MSI,Asus, and Alienware laptops if i can find something for around 1300~1600USD that would be great. I will report back with results.

My brother is looking to order a lappy for uni think i will recommend Sager been doing some good research yesterday and Sager has a really good rep

I dont know much about the Sager brand. The laptop brands that I have always liked have been Asus, Toshiba, and business line HP (not for gaming). Ive heard Samsung makes a few nice ones, but I havent seen or tried them personally.

I would have done that earlier, i have an account on that forum but forgot the login details lulz, anyways i went to the mall today i really had to get a laptop as i seriously needed one for work so i went to three shops and finally bought one from Carrefour (french hypermnarket) its an MSI GE70, its decent, although its 17inch screen is big (was hoping for 13~14 inch) but i must say it is lighter than the Alienware M14 came with a free mouse and bag, decent specs as well quad core i7, 8gb of ram and a GTX850.

Great for work and on the side gaming, i have an unboxing of it and showing my 7 year old custom build lappy beside it from Hypersonic (now defunct) to be uploaded tonight.
