    well I'm going to do what you guys are suggesting, as well as repositioning the case outside the desk. There is a bit of a gap behind it, but only part of it actually exposes the fan, and the wall behind it is roughly 10 cm away, but there are bookcases and another drawer next to the desk that are tight up against the wall.

    I'm still heavily considering buying a new heatsink though. Do want to overclock, but I know if its at this temp I shouldn't.

      well with a Heatsink re-sit and a case move around I have managed to get it down to as low as 65 odd degrees. Still too high, as it still reaches the 90's. Going to buy that heatsink sometime this week though, probably tonight.

        An after market cooler should drop the temps down to 35 or so at Idle. 50-60 at load. So it should be considerably lower.
