    i7 950 + ASUS Sabertooth X58, DDR 3 frequency

hey, can i force to set it manual and force to use DDR3 1333mhz?

because i7 950 by the intel only to use 1066!

no problem to use 1333 without overclock or i need to do up the cpu frenquency too to up the memory too?

You can overclock it without the CPU overclocking, but you need to be sure your RAM can do that as well. I have the same board and it should be easy to manually do that.

Sometimes cheaper RAM have issues when you overclock it.

Yeah, its not detecting the correct speed. So manually changing it should work then. I dont recall if changing the memory speed will affect CPU. Mine is all set to auto and it detects correctly. When I get a moment I will check and see.

i did a little overclock at cpu, and ddr3 1333mhz default to work at 1100mhz triple channel.

          near the default to cpu!

          ok thx
