Intel i7 2600k, recommended?

Hey guys, is anyone using this processor? Or have you heard if it's any good/bad?

Intel® Core™ i7-2600K Processor
(8M Cache, 3.40 GHz)

Most of you know I'm building a new PC for this fall, and this processor came to my attention recently, so, opinions?

I haven't done a lot of review on it, but I'm pretty sure its one of the best out right now. the "K" designation means it's unlocked for overclocking. More than likely I'm going to buy one with either a p67 or x68 mobo - I'm just not sure which to go with right now.

I'm kind of in a tough spot right now. my Q6600 mobo is dying (i think) so i need to either replace the mobo, or build my new BF3 system soon. I was hoping to hold off on the build until right before BF3 comes out but the thought of swapping in a new mobo, re-installing all my stuff, and then doing it again 4 months later sucks.

have you looked into mobos? what about ram?

I don't know a lot about mobos, but the "recommended" one from cyperpowerpc is this one:

About the RAM I'm thinking between 8 and 12 GB DDR3/1600MHz or 2000mhz Dual Channel Memory Module, but since we don't know the recommended requirements for BF3, I'm gonna wait until the beta to see how much I need.

The GTX590 is for sure, I'm hoping around September/October the price will be reduced if the GTX600 series come out by that time. And I really think that GPU is more than capable to handle BF3 at higher settings.

i5 2500k is very close to the i7 from benchmarks and £100 cheaper.

Nvidia Cards give better performance SLI'd.

Go for 8gb.

Mobo.. Dunno not read up on the new Z68's yet.
