Weird Windows Error

So I've got this error:



Which takes me to this site when I click on "Learn more online":



Whenever I click on "Validate Now" the page just reloads...

I've tried on Firefox and all it does is open a blank page with a baby blue background.

(I uninstalled IE ages ago cos it sucks :p)

Anyone care to shed a lil' light on this? I'm clueless...

Ive seen that once. The machine was infected and corrupted a file. The infection had to be removed and SFC ran to clean it up and then activation was then possible.

So just run a virus scan and BANG the dirt is gone?

No. Run a few virus scans and a few spyware removal scans and then MAYBE its gone.

Malwarebytes is a good tool as well as SuperAntiSpyware. Kapersky makes this great rootkit removal tool thats about 85MB or so that has done great on removing some rootkits and stuff like that.

Once your system is clean, THEN comes fixing the activation notice. You can google that and you will find what needs to be done.

usually AVG fixes problems like this for me, its one of the only virus programs i trust
