5870's are sub £200 here now since they are End of Line products.

I think that is a "benefit" from most games being targeted at console hardware.
My 2x4850 will also do fine for a while yet, I am just very tempted by EyeFinity. And the latest driver releases has worked like crap for me, so I would like one single-gpu card.
But it doesn't look like I will get it this time.

So, I ended up buying a 6970 to get rid of crossfire for a while.
Unsurprisingly it can run everything on max @ 1680x1050.

But be warned, you need a case the size of a mobile home

I did. Or at least I got the Sapphire card. I already own BC2:Vietnam, and have no need for even more empty packing laying around.
They should have included a free M16, then I would have been interested
