Hard Drvie Mode Swtich?

Hi everyone!

Hope you all are having a great summer! I wanted to ask you techies if there is a software that will switch my hard drive system to FAT32 to NTFS and vice versa via not formatting? As i want to plug it into my ps3 and ps3s' as well all know can read only FAT32.

I do not want to format so was wondering if there was a software to sort of like switch the hard drive to fat32 or convert?

I'm not sure if you can go NTFS to FAT32 tho.

What version of windows are you running?

I'm not exactly sure what you are doing but I think it's going to be best/easiest for you to set up a 32GB partition in FAT32. It's possible to go bigger but it would be smarter to go smaller if the extra space isn't needed.

No. Lunatik has the best way. There are programs out there that will shrink your drive down and then you can make a FAT32 partition on it. Check out Acronis.

Am running win7ulti, will try acronis and partitioning thanks. btw i am talking about an external drive if that helps thanks guys .

Change your partition and format it to FAT32 and you are set.

Thanks for the update Crunch! I am sorry i will not be able to post any results immediately as i am dealing with a prob in my PS3 (there is a thread about it in the SONY section). I will reply asap to display my results and if i managed to get the drive working in FAT32. Thanks for the assistance everyone .
