So your basing that on what Bad Company 2 since you mention exploisions, where the Engine is known for being poorly optimized.

You said it yourself "The best rule is to always buy for the time and wait for the future." The future in this case will bring better drivers, counting them out at this point is foolish.

Again you are attempting to predict the future and not only the future but guessing at what causes that card to drop in fps. Lets assume it's a poorly coded engine and not one that is just demanding when graphics are turned up even though there are cards that do just fine with fps dropping on the same engine. Let's assume that games of the future are not going to be just as demanding. Good luck with the next crysis.

Now up your AA to what most people would consider good. Why would anyone want to play in DX11 with 2x aa? Just do a simple search on it, people with 5770s even in crossfire are complaining about FPS dropping to far.

Just a quick round with 30 players when i joined, i put myself where the action was going on. Buildings coming down, 40mm going off, and tanks going boom.
Also my MB is only at x8 x8 in crossfire. I am new to crossfire, but every thing i read about crossfire you should at least go with x16 x8.

google any card # with fps drops and see what you find

And you think the 5770 is worth it when you are dropping down to 36FPS during that small period of playtime. You don't think its a little crazy that a single 4870 will perform at least as good as yours in a higher resolution and you can barely notice a difference in the graphics?

The deal is these cards don't handle tessellation very well and BC2 doesn't even use it which is the main purpose of DX11 and something you are going to start seeing a lot more of in future games. Bet on it crossfire or not it will bring 5770s to crawling numbers.
