    Windows Page File

What are the best settings for the Windows page file? I have 4gb of RAM (3.25gb usable because I have 32-bit XP) and 2 hard drives.

Right now I have Windows installed on C: and my page file on E: so that both the Windows files and the page file can be accessed at the same time. Should I let Windows manage the size of the page file or set a custom size myself? Is there a performance disadvantage with a page file that is too big, if I don't mind it taking up HD space?

I think the recommendation for XP is a fixed size equal to 150% of your memory.
The newer versions of Windows are supposed to handle it OK by themselves
