im just curious, such as what would be good enough to allow you to play the game as smoothly as possible on medium-ish settings. im not horribly concerned about how fancy it looks (though the game does look very nice) moreso just want the game to run real smooth and it seems that this would be more of a cpu issue than anything kind of like with 2142, like im guessing this game likes core i7's but im not really up on all the new stuff(?). thanks(?)

The HD 4870 1GB is pretty close to the GTX 260. The GTX 260 is better for most games, but not by a whole lot.

They are using the cpu to do audio, thats why they recommend a quad core. This game is still in beta. I would hold off till release, then see how your pc does
What settings are you running now and how many fps?

If you go into your My Documents/BFBC2beta/settings.ini and change DXversion from auto to dx9 then your frame rate should increase (remember it is beta) :yay: You just won't get all the eye candy (if you can tell amongst all the explosions going on around you)!:dead:

i am just getting the feeling here that the game could run tons smoother and it would be nicer on the eyes and all that, and then i wouldnt have the odd instance where i dont track someone good enough when spraying at them in close quarters and i get killed
