4850 for $60?

I may be getting a 4850 512mb for $60, unopened box. I've got a 9600GT 512mb right now. Would it be worth it playing at my max res of 1280x1024?

Not particularly. I have an 8800GT and max out the graphics on most games at 1280x1024

You should be able to do that with a higher FPS than me from your specs.

Save the money for when you'll need a big leap in graphics card performance for games coming out next year.

That's what I'm thinking, too. If I had a bigger monitor (which would make games less CPU-dependent) an upgrade to the 4850 would be good. But after checking some benchmarks I've noticed that the 4850 isn't much of an upgrade when playing at 1280x1024

Athlon 64 X2 6000? That should be good for a while. What motherboard do you use?

Yes, it's the X2 6000+. It's just some dell motherboard. I can't overclock.
