LCD Tv recommendation

Looking to purchase a 32" LCD tv with the purpose of console gaming and PC gaming.

Here's what I've found, what do you think:

find one with 1080p, don't waste your money on 720p if you want to use it for gaming much.

I cba to find something, but check sites like slickdeals and fatwallet for good deals. I'll have a look later. :wee:

My only experience with LCDs is with the Sony Bravia XBR brand. They work nicely.

I got that one for $550 a few weeks ago. I like it. My old HDTV was only 1080i, and there is a big difference that I can see.

How's that Insignia working out so far?

Honestly, it's fantastic. This is actually my first LCD tv. My father has a 55 or 56 inch Bravia, and the picture on mine looks better (I think at least).

So far I've hooked up my Wii and as soon as the SNES I ordered gets in, I'll be trying out Illusions of Gaia and Lagoon on it. Must say, for a future bedroom tv I think I did pretty good.

To be honest, I've noticed older consoles look WORSE on big HDTVs than they did on smaller SDTVs years ago. I plugged in my N64 a few years ago and it definitely looked worse on my 52" 1080i when compared to my old 32" SDTV.

That will be to do with the larger size but same image being produced, so pixels look larger and so lines more jaggy.
