    New Build

Hey everyone. I'm building a new computer and would appreciate any advice you can offer. I'll be using a crt for a few more months until I can afford a 22 or 24 inch lcd. This computer is mostly for gaming and my budget is $900-1000.

Looks good, but are you sure that Artic Freezer will fit. It's a different socket remember.

Also, I would get something that can handle a little more heat.

The specs in the link say yes; I guess that's what the rev 2 indicates.

Hmmm, Newegg doesn't have a good selection of cpu fans for socket 1156. There is the XIGMATEK HDT-SD964 92mm Rifle CPU Cooler. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233014 which has a bracket set for the 1156.

Get that, and then you can use the HDT-S1283. :)

Aren't those brackets for the HDT xxx4-xxx6 series?
