Is this ATI worht it?

Hey guys checked my email today and saw another novatech ad of the ATi 5series below

is it any good as i found it to be cheap lol but isnt a high end 5 series supposed to be 5870?

It's quite a good card, on par with a 4890 if I remember correctly?

Single card that can run 3 monitors due to Eyefinity, DX11 and the odd manufacturor gives a free copy of Dirt Dx11 with the card. (same as the rest of the series).

Crossfire them and they're better than a single 5870 for up to £90 cheaper, only consumes about 30w more than a 5870 so not really that power hungry.

I must say I just built a machine with dual 4890 XXX's and my GTX280 SSC equals or not surpasses both cards. I hadn't bought anything ATI since my capture card ages ago, and after seeing the performance coupled with the typical ATI driver issues I don't see me purchasing anything else for quite some time from them.

I'm trying to get my hands on a 5850. It seems like it has pretty good performance right now but ATI are saying new drivers in December will give a 15%-25% performance increase.

I'm waiting for new Nvidia cards in January. My 4870 is good enough for now, but competition will obviously bring prices down :)

ATi rising the prices atm as well..Because no competition and supply nd demand the 5850 and 5870 i think are getting price hikes...

i gave my consideration of upgrading my home PC another thought, that i would stick with my 88gtx but just upgrade the motherboard and CPU.

Yeah the 5770's seem pretty cheap, still not sure what to buy at the moment, I came very close to getting a 4870 but I held back waiting for a better deal and now it seems that most 27x and up are mostly out of stock or cost a mint, but the new ATI series cards such as the 5770 seems fairly cheap... but weather to hold on for a price drop or the new Nvid cards... I am totally lost in the sea of GPU's now :p
