my copy from PC World was £45, thats pretty dam cheap for Windows in the UK, could have gotten it for £30 on the 22nd through the student deal if I wasn't so lazy

I think people waiting for the cheap deal might have missed the boat

If you work in computer retail you can still get Win7 Ultimate for $10 from Microsoft.

If I recall it was due to the whole "E" deal and the EU, but it seems the "E" ver. is no more as I got IE with mine and still the cheap price.

Where did you get the idea I was from the UK? I'm getting it from newegg and it should only have to travel <500mi to get to my house, so I have high hopes.

Mine is scheduled to get to my house on Friday. It shipped at 1440 from NJ. Well, it only got to another place in New Jersey for now, but they claim it will make it on Friday...

I dont suppose I would be able to virtualize my existing XP installation?
It could be usefull to have all the old crap on standby, without polluting the new install.
