I hate texting, much rather talk to people- in person.

1500 texts/month is probably about average for all of my college friends. I text less just because I can't stand texting, but the average college student over here is constantly texting. Constantly.

If you have decided on what network your wanting to go with and what phone, i would advise going to the actual provider to start your contract as oppose to using a 'middle man' such as 'buymobilephones.net', simple reason being that there wont be any additional charges. :).

Is it any worse than messaging people with IMs and the like? Plus, most the time that I spend texting is while I'm at my computer with nothing better to do.

I'm not telling fibs, and I have a life thank you very much.

I have an iPhone, so its essentially like talking on aim...So its very easy for me to have anywhere from 2,500-5,000. I've never had exactly 5,000, I've only come slightly close, and that might have been once or twice.

Me and my friends text, talking on the phone is overrated, its much easier to text.

It's not like that. It's just constant. It's like having a conversation (or 10) on IM, but with texts.

That's the problem. Orange doesn't have any of the cheaper deals on their website at all.

I keep choosing the Dolphin 15 on the website I am using, but the Orange website only has Dolphin 25 as their minimum....

I should probably go to a store in the UK. But it's rather weird.

I just went into the 3 Store and said "I want that phone and free MSN, what's the cheapest you can do!"

                            And?

I am not extremely happy with the E63, it's an awesome phone, but I would really like the E71.
Otherwise, I am sure 3 will have that deal next week while I am at Coventry or Warwick.

But the Orange deals seem annoying, the third party website has the cheapest deals, but Orange website doesn't. I am hoping their store has this deal... :S

I think Alex was saying that's what he did when he got his phone & contract, I thought the same thing at first.

Yeah, quite often to get a sale they will cut you some leeway or give you a better deal, like in a TV store where they throw in a stand or a car salesman who cuts the price and gives you free footmats :p
