    Umm CD Drivers Died?

Tried to install some games lately and realized... My CD-ROM drive isn't working!

When I look at the driver's properties it says the drivers may be corrupted or lost... and there was nothing I remember doing specifically that would make this happen.

FYI I'm using one TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203B Samsung ATA drive.

Also my search on the net for a driver installer failed... any help?

Or you could buy a 100 dollar Blu-Ray drive.

            Honestly, CD?

I agree, go spend 20 bucks and get a DVD drive.

Sorry it is a DVD/CD drive. If anyone took the time to actually look up the model I gave... didn't even realize thats what they were talking about.

              Its also a burner.

Note that I am running Windows 7 and yes Dan it is in device management, except that the drivers are screwed up. For whatever reason...

Doesn't make any sense to me TBH.

No errors on it in device management? Try uninstall it from there, reboot and let Windows try install the drivers again.

                Do you have iTunes?

Allright just uninstalled. I'll try rebooting.

And yes I do... have iTunes.

Does a Dvd drive even need drivers? I didn't install any when I got a new drive.... :\

                      Uhh, no apparently they do.

And I just tried rebooting... no good. Whenever I try to troubleshoot Windows seems to see the problem but then it "fails to find drivers" or something of the like.
