Good idea? this is the highest amount im willing to pay, and i dont feel like switching parts unless its necessary, just wanted a second opinion. This computer will be for purely gaming purposes.

And No, it still costed 179 dollars, its making it so you pay for the 2 games, but they take 100 off the card. so it still costed 179.

Do you REALLY need 1TB of HDD?

You could probably same some money by going lower and get a better GFX card. Though the nvidia 260 is pretty good.

Otherwise, it's a good build.

Why not get a 1TB drive? Okay, it's ~$90 for a TB, but it's like ~$55 for a decent 500GB.
So you pay more per GB for a smaller drive. Also, the TB drives have a higher areal density and therefore read/write speeds.

Again, why not go for a TB drive?

That's a LOT of space. I do understand that it's cheaper per GB.

Seeing as this is a gaming based forum, I asssume he would want a gaming computer. Why not sacrifice the HDD, for a better G-card. Though the 260 is really good, he could probably upgrade to the 275GTX.

A lot of gamers are going with digital distribution these days. With about 200GB on my TB drive going to Steam games and backups at any point in time, then you have games like GTA IV taking up like 12GB by itself, big hard drives are the way things are headed.
And it looks like the guy is on a 19" monitor, so he doesn't need much more than a GTX 260 Core 216 anyway at those resolutions.

As mentioned in the post, HD is already bought. I need a one terabyte drive, because i have a couple of games that exceed 10 gigs (Some closer to 20), and im not going to have to worry about storage. Plus, Im paying about $10 more for 250 extra gigs, ill take it.

And also mentioned in the post, graphics card no longer comes with the 2 games. But, it still is a good card with that new processor inside of it so it should be rockin.
