    [HEXUS] Windows 7 pricing revealed

It looks like it might be worth grabbing those copies of Win7 sooner rather than later if you're in the EU:
The US retail prices for Windows 7 upgrade editions - eligible to users of previous versions of Windows - are as follows:
    • Windows 7 Home Premium (Upgrade): $119.99
    • Windows 7 Professional (Upgrade): $199.99
    • Windows 7 Ultimate (Upgrade): $219.99

    • Windows 7 Home Premium (Full): $199.99
    • Windows 7 Professional (Full): $299.99
    • Windows 7 Ultimate (Full): $319.99

In the UK, the retail price for upgrade editions of Windows 7 are: [Actually this is a full version- the price will rise to a price reflective of this once the 'upgrade window' has ended- Powder]

    • Windows 7 Home Premium (Upgrade): £79.99
    • Windows 7 Professional (Upgrade): £TBC
    • Windows 7 Ultimate (Upgrade): £TBC

Amazon has a pretty good discount on the upgrades.

            Conscript is back :p

All students should look to their schools/collages/Unis for copies. Not all are part of the MSDN scheme, but some are.

If that's a no go, "the ultimate steal" deal from MS can give you a huge discount!

I will bump this now because I feel it is relevant

the offer has begin (in EU and UK) and you can get your Windows copies cheap cheap

I myself pre ordered a copy from Amazon for 44.97, few hours later the price has risen to close to £80, as has Play

Just pre ordered another 2 copies from PC world for my Dad and Brother, they still have the price at £44.99, so if you are in the UK etc etc and are planning on getting Win 7

act fast, not necessarily a question of stock (Home Premium went out of stock and unavailable for pre order loads of times, but more stock was allocated) its whether or not the price will stay so low

They are full versions, Microsoft atm can't release an upgrade version in Europe (something to do with the IE8 thing); its just a pre-order deal that was done in the USA etc, now in EU, after the deadline you got to pay full price

                    as for OEM

no idea, but eventually when they were released I would expect them to cost more than the price at PC world currently

Same from PC World, Amazon gone up to £75 and ebuyer had ran out of pre-orders when I checked lastnight.
