So after years of delaying, i finally have a job and am planning to build a new computer. :) As long as my parents are fine with it (which they should be), ill be ordering the parts soon :)

For the RAM, im just looking for 4GB of DDR2 800 so i any suggestions would be good.

Im also looking for an aftermarket CPU cooler. I've been looking at the Noctua NH-U12P and it seems good, but im not sure.

I chose the Q9550 cuz i am going to be doing a lot of video/audio encoding so i wanted the better Core 2 Quad.

Any critiquing welcome :)

I would recommend some OCZ Reaper PC-8500 chips. I own them and they are very stable, good looking and overclock well.

There are also other 1066mhz modules which are just as good.

I would say for ram go for G.skill 4gb DDR2 800 or if it is cheaper, for my build it was, get G.skill 4gb DDR2 1066.

Sweet, thanks for looking up the prices. Originally when newegg.ca came out the prices were terrible except on the video cards so i never thought of looking there.

I'll look into those DDR2 1066 RAM, seems like a good idea especially since it looks like ill be saving a bit of money :)
