IC -- International Conflict Tournament
First off those of us at IC would like to thank MyIS and Crrrazzzy for bringing the ( IC ) International Conflict tourney into the TGN family.
Now for those who may be wondering just what the IC tourney is.
We utilize the NovaLogic ( Joint Operations )
JO: Typhoon Rising and JO:E Escalation games which have been modified to make the IC version and the IC:E ( in production ).
So for those of you who owned the old Delta Force, Df Blackhawk down, Task Force Dagger, Team Sabre. The JOTR and JOE were the next evolution from those games.
So if you still own the versions feel free to dust them off, stop using them as a coaster for your best beer mug so your wife doesn't kill you, or steal them back from your kids because they needed something on their computer in order to stay off yours, and come on over and jump on TS with us or ingame.
Our website is -- www.Internationalconflict.com
Now for the actual facts of the tourney.
We have 2 armies that face off each sunday for 10 hours of battle on 2 custom maps at 1 hour rounds apiece. We utilize a 250 man server and average 100 to 140 players per round on battleday.
Each army has 2 army servers in which to recon the maps or use their custom training maps for teaching different aspects of the game or the ingame characters.
The current armies are the 101st Airborne Division with 125 registered members against the 173rd Airborne Brigade with 116 registered members. The army names and staffs change from Campaign to Campaign.
We are currently on Campaign 16 and run 2 or 3 campaigns per year provided on schedules and actual battelday results.
We have members of all ages playing from age 11 to age 60+ and male and female players as well.
We have an admin staff comprised of 11 members and we wear UN tags ingame and in our forums.
Spirit of the Tournament:
You can play as much as you like or as little as you can play based around Real Life. There are a few minimum requirenments within the army that may need to be fullfilled in order to play but there not that much, some forum work and unit or army practice for example. Any member can work their way up the ranks and possibly run an army down the line.
There are a few ways to join you can either:
1. Go Random and let the Computer decide which army your will be a part of.
2. Pay to pick the side you wish to be on $5.00 charge.
3. Or be Sponsored by a member of the tourney to the army you wish to be apart of.
*** these options may change at the beginning of our next campaign updates will be available on our site***
We have members from all over the globe and at one point last year we had at least one registered member from all 6 populated continents. Our core groups are from the US and Europe, but we have a group from Australia represented as well.
So feel free to drop by our Forums and take a look or jump on our gTeamspeak and chat with the many members that are online around the clock.
We have multiple channels in our Teamspeak for our armies necessary channels and for public use channels for our guests.
We run a clan nuetral environment in which that means we have no problems with you having your clan tags as part of your TS tags or ingame tags to show loyalty to that group, but any problems between your clan and any others stop at our door step, eveyone then becomes part of the IC community and the rules that accompany being apart of it.
So for those members here at TGN that decide to stop by feel free to join our TS with you tourney tags so we can see whos from what MyIS run tournament. Example: 21CW-soandso or BFE-soandso
if you wish.
The game maybe a little out-dated and the graphics may not match those tht are currently available but being on the battlefield with 50+ teammates and slugging it out for an hour at a time I feel can't be matched by any other game out there. So when you want a change and would like to run and gun with a cool groups of guys/gals come on over our door is always open.
