Does this PC monitor support a PS3?

Lately i've been looking for a HD screen where I can play with a PS3 on.

First I was looking for a cheap HDTV but those things are terribly expensive and I was ready to give up all hope for a HD screen when I thought to myself: ''Does a PC monitor support a PS3?''

So I looked for a nice HD PC monitor and came across this one: http://www.computerland.nl/ProductDe...?en=NS00659153
It's in Dutch, but I can translate the desciption if you guys want.

So basicly I have 2 questions:
Does this screen support a PS3?
and
Is this screen HD?
On the homepage it says Full HD, 1080p but does that work for PC monitors?

you have to remember PC monitors probably wont support audio via the DVI port so for it to work you need to have a separate connection for your amp/headphones. Aside from the audio issue you will be able to connect a PS3 to that monitor, probably using a HDMI to DVI cable/converter.

I see, I just found out that it's HDMI or the red, green, blue cables used for Scart. So the PC monitor probably won't work.

HDMI does convert to DVI! all you need is a connector or a cable to do so, does your PS3 have red and white/black photo cables so you can attach it to external speakers?

All PS3 are equipped with red/gree/blue cables and a HDMI cable.

The monitor I was talking about has a DVI input and the DVI cable comes with it. I do have speakers here, but they don't have a red/green/blue cable input.

red green blue isnt for audio its componant video connection (so each cable carries part of the video signal) its the red and white or red and black ones you need. Assuming your pS3 does have seperate audio out you would need this

i didnt specify any online retailer the images where reference to explain wat i was talking about.

Make sure it's HDCP as well.
