Need a new board of keys

My wall developed huge cracks and my shelves ripped out of the walls collapsing on my computer and creating a lot of damage. My keyboard (and nearly monitors) got it worse and was destroyed. It was a 1st revision Saitek Eclipse.

I'm looking for some to "eclipse" this great keyboard and replace it. I don't want something that looks like it could control a NASA launch such as the G15, simply something fairly small and with good contact and feel.

    Max budget £40!

Eclipse II/ III? The II is certainly very nice to use.

The Eclipse III looks bulky :|:

How big is the Eclipse 2?

That Saitek looks pretty basic in terms of functionality. I'm sure you could walk into any electronics/computer store and find a keyboard that will do everything that can do, sans the backlight, for a quarter of your budget.

But if you want something fancy, that new Saitek III looks like it'd be nice. (Though I'm not sure I'd pay the £36 for it.

I use a Razer Lycosa, the keys are fairly quiet and I like it. It's £10 over your budget though.

I decided to ignore any advice given and instead went on review sites. Went and bought this lovely chappy

Anything else besides another Microsoft keyboard is a waste of time and money.

You could have tried an ergonomic keyboard (they are usually bulkier though). I've never used one myself because I can't find a backlit one.

Bit of a revive but I don't suppose you got any pictures of the aftermath of the drama did you? Just for the lulz.

No, I didn't take any pics, reason being is that I had a pint of water that got spilled in the collapse and I wanted to isolate and clean everything ASAP.

I could take pics of some ****ed up wall plugs... but that's not too exciting?
