    Scansure

I went to buy my new "XFX 1GB Radeon 4870 XXX" today from Scan when I noticed I had been charged £3.50 for "Scansure".

Having investigated, I found Scan will insure your products against accidental breakage whilst installing or setting up your PC and replace any parts that are damaged by you!

I thought this was a great advert for building your own PC and takes off some of the stress when buying expensive parts for the first time!

    I like that, GG Scan!

I guess Scan figured that since most of their customers who buy internal parts know what they're doing, they are confident ScanSure won't be a burden since nobody will claim.

It covers against water damage, yes.

(which is why I paid the £3 for it :))

Judging by the million threads made by Eagle in the Tech Centre I think that's a good point :)
