    I've just seen a new product in Taiwan: IDE/SATA to USB CABLE.

    Sooner or later it will be available in UK. Don't bother with the case anymore.

        you can already get them in the UK sharkoon make one, doesnt offer you much protection if your lugging the thing about though.

                just check the specs before you buy. some caddies have a limit on what size drive they handle. I bought a usb caddy for laptop drives a couple years ago, but it can only handle 120gb drives max.

                    I checked this and someone put a WD 500GB drive in which is exactly what i'm getting :)
